The Facts on Burradoo

For anyone that currently owns a property in Burradoo and anyone looking to buy a property in Burradoo it is important to look at the numbers to get a true understanding of the quality and value of the Burradoo residential property market.

It may only have been last month that Council acknowledged the unofficial boundaries of Burradoo with a sign erected at the north and south ends of Moss Vale Road, but it has always...

Don't Leave Anything Behind

Gone are the days when moving to the country meant swapping fine dining and fresh seafood for fresh air and space. Today anyone considering a move to the Southern Highlands can expect the very best in food and restaurants, not to mention access to premium local wines and fresh produce.

From Robertson to Mittagong, Exeter to Berrima and Bowral in between the Highlands has an abundance of amazing venues, stores and providores that...

Have you got the time?

I work with a wide variety of clients each with unique property requirements and budgets but the one thing all my clients have in common is a severe lack of time.  They are busy people with busy lives, and that’s even before they add on to their ‘to do’ list that inevitable extra layer of administration and organisation that comes with making the decision to buy or sell a property.

There is no doubt it can be a real juggle to...

The Importance of Education

Our team recently had the honour of hosting a fundraising lunch with extraordinary Highlands resident Annabelle Chauncy, co-founder of The School For Life Foundation, who spoke with journalist Georgie Gardner about her belief in education as a means to create change and in doing so change lives.

Annabelle is an extraordinary young woman who demonstrates the power of the people and the reality that from our homes in the beautiful Southern Highlands we do still have the opportunity to make a...

Auction Right or Wrong

You may have noticed a wider selection of Southern Highland properties being taken to auction over recent months. Our team of local property experts are excited to be taking three diverse properties to auction on Saturday 3rd September at our office in Mittagong.

It has prompted many people to ask when is the right time to take a Southern Highlands property to auction rather than sell by private treaty.  In actual fact the decision is not just about timing.  It is...

Gold Medal Coaching

Have you noticed that when the Olympics are on we all seem to become experts? Despite not being regular spectators of pole vaulting, judo, gymnastics or diving we happily sit back and judge each jump, dive, spin, swim and run.  There is nothing wrong with that but I would hesitate to suggest anyone attempt a triple somersault off the 10 metre board without taking some advice from a professional. A real expert.

And so I think it is with selling a...

What to do

I have spoken often about the fact that there continues to be a shortage of properties available for sale across the Highlands to meet buyer demand.  That’s great for vendors but it can be stressful for those looking to find a new home who find the options currently available don’t meet their needs.

It’s important to embark on your property search with the right tactics and the right attitude. Being prepared and being realistic will help ensure you don’t get demoralised,...

Negotiating Great Outcomes

Across the Southern Highlands there continues to be an undersupply of properties on the market to meet continuing strong local demand.  You will see evidence of that fact in the pages of this paper.  Our team of agents have buyers keenly waiting on every new and potential listing that might meet their property demands.

In the Southern Highlands market right now we have buyers who are very keen to secure the right property.  At the same time we have savvy vendors...

Winter Opportunity

There is no doubt Winter has arrived in The Highlands. It’s funny, we know it will come. We expect it will be cold, but I think even the most seasoned Highlands resident gets something of a shock when they wake to that first white frost and have to brace themselves against the icy wind that cuts like a knife, makes your eyes water and your ears hurt.

Whilst a large proportion of people seek The Highlands because of the fact this...
