Berrima

This delightful historic destination in the Southern Highlands is just 122 km south-west of Sydney. Berrima has a unique collection of unspoilt Georgian sandstone homes and important public buildings from the 19th century. There are craft galleries, coffee shops and tea houses, making it a great place to stop for a break and discover much about the early days of European settlement in Australia.

Browse through the many craft shops, galleries and antique shops, visit the Courthouse Museum and enjoy a Guinness and a meal at the Surveyor General Inn, Australia’s oldest continually licensed inn. Berkelouw Books is a converted barn near Berrima that’s packed with 300,000 second-hand books.
