Fine dining is delivered at Biota, Bistro Officina and Onesta Cucina in Bowral, Katers Restaurant in Sutton Forest and Eschalot in Berrima. E2 and Josh’s in Berrima, Eccetera in Bowral and The Shaggy Cow and Fitzroy Inn in Mittagong offer slightly less formal dining but certainly no less delicious.
For a classy, casual lunch with a view you can try Bendooley Estate or The Burrawang Pub and the options for yummy café lunch are endless as regular readers of our ‘Spill the Beans’ column in the McKillop Magazine would know.
There is no doubt moving to any of the Southern Highlands towns, villages or picturesque properties in the countryside doesn’t mean you have to leave the good things in life behind! Indeed I recommend anyone considering moving to The Highlands take some time out from their house hunting to explore any of the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Clusters. They are a wonderful way to get some insight into the range of amazing suppliers taking advantage of the climate and countryside.
